Children's clubs

Our exciting children's clubs are Ofsted-registered and are professionally run by a team of qualified and experienced staff, who are proud to provide a stimulating and creative holiday experience full of fun in a safe environment.

Bedruthan Steps childcare is going through some fantastic changes...that we are sure you will love! One of the biggest and most exciting changes that you'll find is that we have condensed all the fun into a sensational 3-hour children's club session from 9.30am-12.30pm.

These sessions will run every day and be offered as a session package, so your children (of all ages) can enjoy an extraordinary experience with us in the morning while you pamper yourself at the spa, enjoy a stroll along the cliffs by yourself or just relax with a drink and good book in the bar. With different themes running each week, your child will have so much to do (both indoors and out - no matter what the weather!) they will be telling you all about it for the rest of the day (or for the younger ones, showing you what they created with the help of our staff).

This means that in the afternoon (between 1.00pm - 4.00pm) we will be providing a supervised playroom for the entire family to come and enjoy some ‘time' together (whether it be playtime, quiet time, craft time, reading time, arts time or just chill time).

In the evenings (during the school holidays only) we open our fantastic Evening Kids Clubs for all age groups so our youngest guests can continue on with the fun and excitement that they have had during the day. We also find that it's a great way for the kids to get as much fun and enjoyment out of their day as possible, while making new friends and enjoying the feeling that they are getting an extra special treat by being able to stay up a little bit later because they are on holidays!

Our children's clubs are divided into five age groups (some of which are only available during school holidays). For the little one's, we know how important it is to provide them with a range of activities and experiences that tantalise their senses, all the while being pampered and enjoying a slightly structured environment while away from Mum & Dad. While with us you can be assured that they will enjoy exciting toys and thrilling sensory experiences whilst being engaged by our caring nursery staff, who love to lather lots of affection and cuddles on our youngest guests.

For those kids that are just a little bit older, the children's clubs now offer something truly magnificent for them, as they are given the opportunity to harness their creative side and use their imagination with our daily club sessions that are tied around some amazing weekly themes.

We are creating a very exciting new element to our children's clubs for the older children and during the school holidays they will take on the roles of characters from the likes of the Daily Planet and Dick Tracy by cracking cases, searching for stories and taking photos of the goings-on around the hotel, which they will put together to create their very own BedSteps newspaper.

Our dedicated childcare team also offer a first-class babysitting and nanny service, both in the afternoon and in the evening* (advanced booking required). For children under the age of 12 months a qualified nanny is required, whilst our fully vetted babysitters will look after older children.

How we care for your little ones

Our children's programme is divided into five age groups (some of which are only available during school holidays). From time to time we do merge some of these groups. Fun in the clubs can get messy so please remember to pack some scruffy play clothes.

Tadpoles birth-2 years Ratio 1:3

Stimulating toys and exciting sensory experiences combined with affection and cuddles will keep the very small ones contented while parents relax. We also have a quiet room with cots and prams for babies needing a nap.

Minnows 2-3 years Ratio 1:4

(These two clubs occur in the same room)

Energetic and inquisitive toddlers are encouraged to join in our theme for the week and be anything they want to be. With super fun activities, music and crafts included along with plenty of indoor and outdoor play, your toddler will be enthralled while with us.

Penguins 3-5 years Ratio 1:8

Young children are encouraged to play, be creative, use their imagination and have loads of fun in a safe and friendly environment. We have fantastic themed weeks throughout the year which will have them building, creating, playing, designing, imagining and cooking both indoor - we bet they won't be able to wait to tell you all about it!

School holiday clubs

Dolphins 5-8 years Ratio 1:8

Here we harness a child's creativity and imagination and as they are a little bit older they can really delve into our exciting theme weeks and they generally lead us in completely new directions! With this age group there is so much to explore, both indoor and out and we really want them to use their imaginations to see where it could take them, with everything from crafts, cooking, treasure hunts, junk modelling, music, camping, exploring, drama and more.

Sharks 8-12 years

At this age, the kids want some freedom to express themselves, so while we have a myriad of phenomenal activities we could do while they are with us, we also encourage them to choose what they'd like to do. From stained glass creation, design your own t-shirt, sports games, pool fun, make your own ‘mocktail', beach walks & discos to the fantastic new concept of giving the Sharks the responsibility to create their very own BedSteps Newspaper through interview questions, photo taking, art and design and sussing-out ideal stories, this age group really has got so much going on.

Teenagers 13 years up

We all know teenagers are a law unto their own and generally always want to do the absolute opposite of the rest of the family. That's why we have created a teenage room where they can hang out with others their own age, chill out to music, jump on the Wii and do what it is teenagers do (does any of us really know?!). There are also so many fantastic activities within the hotel that might take their fancy as well, like scuba diving lessons, surfing lessons, tennis and more.
